Lucent

FAQ

Questions, answered

Everything you need to know about Lucent — recording drills, AI scoring, scouting, and signing.

What is Lucent?

Lucent is a football performance platform. You record guided drills from your phone, our AI and benchmark scoring turn every rep into stats, and your results build a verified record clubs can trust. When a club's recruiting brief matches your profile, we surface it so you can apply with your numbers.

Do I apply to trials, or do clubs find me?

A bit of both — we bring the briefs to you, and you apply. Lucent shows live recruiting briefs with your fit against each club's requirements, highlights your best match, and lets you filter and sort by fit. Apply through a guided checklist — record the drills the club asks for and submit; your scores travel with the application, and the club reviews and shortlists from there.

I'm under 18 — can I sign up?

Yes. Players aged 13–17 will need a parent or guardian's consent at signup, and under-18 accounts will get stricter privacy defaults. We'll publish the full under-18 protections before launch.

When does Lucent launch?

We're rolling out in waves. Join the waitlist and you'll be among the first to get access when we open up. Early members also get input into which features ship next.

Do I need a coach or special equipment?

No coach needed, and no fancy gear: a phone, a ball, and a few cones cover most drills, while a few tests use simple extras like a hurdle, a box, or a measuring tape. Each drill's in-app setup guide lists exactly what you need — follow it and our AI and benchmark scoring handle the rest.

Who can see my training videos and stats?

Your profile and data are private by default. Your data reaches a club only when you apply to their trial — the drill scores and profile details you submit travel with that application, and nothing more. We never sell your videos or health data. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
